Blocked MasterCard® Debit Card Transactions

Traveling? Let us know when you will be using your card when traveling (whether domestically or outside of the U.S.) to make sure that your Bank of Glen Burnie MasterCard® Debit Card will be available for use. To protect consumers against fraudulent transactions, your MasterCard® Debit Card may be temporarily blocked in certain countries, states and businesses.

To avoid interruptions to card use, please let us know at least one week in advance whenever you are traveling. To set up a travel notice, call your local Bank of Glen Burnie branch office or download and submit the BofGB Travel Notice Form. We will need to know where you will be traveling, how long you plan to be away, and your return date. This information will be noted on your account to alert FraudWatch Plus of transactions that may occur outside of your typical spending patterns.

Card Management and Controls

Did you know you can use the Card Management Features and Controls in your BOGB Personal Mobile Banking App to set geographical boundaries on where debit card transactions will be allowed?  This helps protect your card when traveling, or even on a day-to-day basis.  You can also restrict merchant and transaction types, and set alerts and spending limits. You can also use the card management features to immediately turn your card on or off to prevent fraud and disable your debit card if it is ever lost or stolen. You must also report the lost or stolen card using the number below.
