Dear Valued Customer,
We want to alert you to an important change taking place at The Bank of Glen Burnie. After much consideration, The Bank of Glen Burnie has made the difficult decision to permanently close our branch location in Linthicum, located at 7063 Baltimore-Annapolis Boulevard in Glen Burnie. This branch office will close on January 25, 2025.
Our commitment to meeting our customers’ financial needs is unwavering. Our customers are increasingly relying on electronic banking services that are available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. Adoption of these services has soared, and as such, we are responding to the reduced demand for in-branch services. We assure you that we will continue to meet your unique banking needs with the same level of outstanding, customer-centered service that you are accustomed to.
As a customer whose home branch of record is our Linthicum Branch, your account will automatically be transferred to the Glen Burnie branch located at 101 Crain Highway. This location is conveniently located less than 3 miles from the Linthicum branch. Your deposit and/or loan account will not be affected. The ONLY change will be the branch location that houses your account.
In preparation for this closure, all Safe Deposit Boxes will need to be vacated prior to December 20, 2024. Boxes not vacated will be drilled, and all contents held in the vault at 101 Crain Highway. Safe Deposit Boxes are available at most of our Branch offices if you prefer a different location. We invite you to call prior to December 20, 2024 to transition to another Bank of Glen Burnie branch, should you choose to do so.
As previously communicated in June of 2023, the Linthicum ATM is slated to cease operations and be removed in 2024 as part of our bank-wide ATM replacement project. The Linthicum ATM is currently scheduled for removal on November 7, 2024. As a reminder, The Bank of Glen Burnie is a member of the MoneyPass® network, allowing customers surcharge-free access to thousands of ATMs across the U.S. and several are conveniently located very close to our branches.
